Halloween!

If it is not one thing it is another as it started out that I would be out of commission to take Elly trick-or-treating and it turns out it was herself instead. She was not completely out of commission but it did make it a little harder to go door to door.

Harry had the day off as he was suppose to have to take me in for surgery. So Elly got to stay at home with her daddy - which is few and far between that they get to do this. It was quite different for me as I was the one leaving in the morning as they stayed at home. They hung out at home in the morning and got some things done. Then Harry brought Elly to my work about noon so that she could trick-or-treat my co-workers. She was a tired Leopard but a cute on anyway. Then they headed over to the farm to cut wood. Grandpa Harry and Nana were happy to see Elly even if she was a little bit out of commission. With the weather being so nice, Elly and Nana went along to the woods to cut wood. They put a blanket down in the trailer and rode behind the tractor. I am sure they all had fun. After work I came over for dinner and then Elly went to the door to trick-or-treat. Grandpa Harry and Nana were quite generous with their treats and not many tricks! Oh I almost forgot that besides cutting wood; Elly helped carve a pumpkin with Grandpa Harry.

After dinner and trick-or-treating it was time to head down the road to Readstown. By the time we got to Readstown we had a sleeping Leopard! So there was not much trick-or-treating at Grama & Papa's house but Elly did get a bag of teddygrams. Score! Elly had a very fun, tiring and exciting day!

Elly is recovering quite nicely. She will put weight on her left leg now but still will not walk on it yet. We are hoping that there will be much improvement today and tomorrow. We are praying that we do not have to take her back on Monday to be rechecked.

My mom is recovering quite well also. She was able to remove her pain pump today and clean up a little. She admitted that the surgery itself was not as bad as she thought it would be. She is sore and tender but you will have that. We are thankful that Thursday we had many good outcomes.
