Applause For Harry

This week Harry has struggled at work, but with that has come recognition.  This is not necessarily  public recognition but more self recognition for his self. Harry was chosen by Tractor Central administration to attend the AMS (Agricultural Management Solutions) Masters Program in Eagan, MN in late January.  He was the only one chosen out of the Westby/West Salem locations.  This is a two day class to learn all there is to know about AMS in planters, combines, sprayers, & self propelled forage harvesters.  He is very pumped about this and hoping this will lead into great opportunities.  I know Harry's first passion is to farm full-time at some point in his life but I think working with AMS would be the next best thing.

We are so proud of Harry & his accomplishments.

Painting

Harry & I decided that we were going practical this year for the kids Christmas presents.  They will still get a toy from S-A-N-T-A but from mom & dad they will get practical.  They don't need a thing!  So we decided we would paint their rooms & decorate for their gifts.  We will decorate the week that Ellaree is off and make a big deal over it.  So of course that means I have three bedrooms to paint before Christmas time.  Well this past Saturday I got Ellaree's room done with the thanks of Lisa's help.  Ellaree helped as well.  She was a huge purple mess by the end but she had a blast.
And she is off!

Lisa helping out

You should have seen how much purple paint was on the sheet when she was done with this corner

All done

4 purple walls & 1 very happy girl!

Also Ellaree received her first "free" pizza award from Book It.  If she reads 20 minutes a day she received a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut.  She brought it home on Friday night and we HAD to go out to eat that night.  Needless to say I know where we will be the 2nd night of each month until the end of school.  We are so proud of her.

Halloween

What can I say...my kids were too cute and had a blast.  I was running all over yesterday but everything went as planned which is the best part of all.
Ellaree's class party was at 2.  Thanks to Papa Harry & Nonie who came and sat while the little ones were napping I was able to go to her party.  It was lots of fun as 4K-5 grade goes to the gym for a parade so everyone can see their costumes and then back to the rooms for treats!

Once school was let out, Ellaree & I rushed home to meet up with Daddy, Papa Harry, Nonie, Lorelai & Harry to go Trick-or-Treating at the local businesses in Viroqua.  Usually we go to Readstown & go to Grapa & Grama's neighbors but since they were both working we decided on this.
Ellaree as Belle from Beauty & The Beast

Ellaree was excited to say the least and didn't waste any time figuring out what to say and where to go.  We had to keep an eye on her for sure!  We had a hard time keeping up with her at some points.

Lorelai as Minnie Mouse

Lorelai loved her outfit and kept twirling around.

Harry as a dinosaur

Harry could barely see as his hood was a little big but that didn't seem to matter to him.  He would have walked the whole way but he was slowing down and he couldn't see much. So the second half of the route we carried him.  He loved his costume and didn't want to take it off.

This is basically the way Lorelai trick-or-treated the whole way.  She kept saying she "was too tired".  Even though she got the longest nap out of everyone.  Silly girl loves her daddy!

When we got home there were chores to be done.  That didn't seem to bother Ellaree any as she went right to work in her dress.  I thought this was too cute.

We walked through the field to our neighbors house and thought this was so adorable on the way home.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
