Rare results
Elly has not started to walk again so I took her back into the doctor today. This consisted of more labs and x-rays. Poor girl but also poor mom. I felt so helpless to her even though I knew that it needed to be done. Anyway, enough about me. Labs came back normal. Yeah! X-ray did not. Last Wednesday when we had x-ray done the doctor that we saw thought she saw a shadow or grey area on the hip but the radiologist kind of brushed it off. Well today there was an avulsion fracture on the hip. I have heard of this where if you go in too early that the fracture won't show up for a couple of days. The fracture is on the inside of her hip. Basically sometime within the last week or so she was climbing off the couch or doing something and she stretched that muscle too much. When she did that the muscle then came over that piece of the hip and chipped the bone. This of course is a rare case in her age group. Only our family would have something happen that is rare. Therefore, tomorrow we will meet with an orthopedic doctor to determine what to do from here.
