Urgent Care

Yup that is right...urgent care tonight. Here is how the life at the Young house has been going.

Yesterday afternoon Harry picked up the girls at Tiffany's around 4ish and brought them home. We kept them there so that I could come home from my appointment and rest. Well when they all got home I was informed that Ellaree had diarrhea and that she was not feeling the greatest. Well the rest of the evening was pasted by running to the bathroom every couple of minutes as she could not stop going. I called the nurse line to question what I could give her to stop the diarrhea or make her more comfortable. Well basically was told what I already knew (I guess at least I knew that I was doing it somewhat right). No pop, fruit juices...give her water or pedialyte. Push the yogurt and if still persists call her doctor today.

This morning right away we started up again. Poor little girl does not have much to go on as it is so it was very concerning. Harry went over to the farm to cut wood with my dad, mom & Jerod. He needed some tools and so we decided to drive over with them and was hoping that if anything Ellaree would fall asleep so that she could rest. Well the falling asleep worked and she did get some rest but when we got over there she did not want to leave but wanted to stay and drive tractor with Grapa.

Harry needed to be in LaCrosse by 5 tonight for a meeting at work. So the girls and I decided we would go with and do some Christmas shopping while he was at his meeting. Right before leaving for LaCrosse Ellaree started going more with diarrhea and so I questioned I don't know how many times if we shouldn't just stay at home. But she was ademit that she wanted to go shopping tonight for gifts for daddy and sissy. Well I figured maybe the distraction would do her good.

We went to Farm & Fleet and got quite a few gifts. Only one stop into the bathroom which I thought was a good sign. She had asked many times for chicken and fries at McDonald's which I agreed to as she did not have an appetite and thought maybe that was turning around. Well after we got done eating we went into the bathroom and that is when it started. Bright red blood! More blood then stool and it worried me spitless. Thankfully Harry was done with his meeting at this point and we started talking about what to do. I had talked to my friend Jane on the way over to pick up Harry and she thought I needed to call the nurse on-call. Well the nurse said that we needed to take her right to urgent care.

The doctor at urgent care is worried that the antibiotic that she is on for her VU Reflux is actually killing the good and bad bacteria therefore there is no bacteria which causes the bad bacteria run ramped in her tiny little body. We were able to get enough sample there at the clinic for them to run a culture on what they call c. diff. If it is that then the antibiotic she is currently on is not working and will need to be changed immediately along with a new medicine to take care of this.

All I have to say is that they need to find out what is going on because I can not handle hearing her cry and scream every time she goes to the bathroom. I can not handle seeing blood coming out of her little bottom and hoping and praying that we are doing all we can for her. I worry and pray...seems to be the norm lately in this house. We should know by morning what the culture says for c.diff. Harry will run the rest of the samples into lab tomorrow morning.

Need to run, sorry if this is not completely understandable as I don't have time to proof it before i send.

Please pray.
