Back Home

Well after 2 more hours in the clinic this afternoon and 2 bags of IV fluids I am still contracting. Unfortunately there is not really anything they can do at this time for me. My cervix is nice and long and closed therefore I am not delivering anytime soon. So that means that I get to suffer through unless something would develop. With this came some big decisions to make for me and Harry.
  • What do we do about work?
  • What about the kids during this time?
  • Do I need help during the day/night while Harry is sleeping and at work?

Well we have been very fortunate in most regards of being able to decide quite quickly as to what to do. We decided that it would be best for me to start my leave from work immediately so that they did not depend on me and so that I could rest these next couple of weeks. The kids will start to stay at home with me and not go to Tiffany's. As much as I could benefit from having them down the hill I think they need this time with me and I also need it. Especially after the last couple of days. And we will evaluate the situation one day at a time whether or not I am having a good day or needing some extra help. Most of you know we don't ask for help unless we absolutely need it so that will be a new thing for me, especially when it comes to helping with the housework.

The girls did come home this morning before I went in and was grateful for that hour to see them. Duties switched this afternoon and Grama is now with us at home while Papa Harry and Nonie scooted down the road to get some things that they needed done. We appreciate all that everyone is doing for us during this time.

Visitors are welcome as I am sure we are all going to get bored with each other very soon. :)
