I just received a phone call from Dr. Nancy. She was checking in on Ellaree and making sure that Dr. Cox from urgent care called over the weekend. She was able to give me information on what was/is going on with Ellaree. Basically she has what is called camplibatrium (spelling I know is incorrect). It is in the same category as food poisoning but what more then likely happened was that she got something on her hands and put her hands in her mouth. Therefore we will be starting to be drill sergeants in regards to scrubbing our hands after touching anything and everything. They asked if we had chickens around because normally they see this when there are chickens around from their poop.
Dr. Nancy was very surprised that the sulfa medicine she is on for her UTIs didn't just take care of it as that the medicine of choice when treating this where the Zithromax is second choice. But I am sure with her already on it that her body was resistant to that medication.
Today Ellaree is doing lots better. Her appetite is amazing...better then we have seen in a long time. She is still tired but better and she has actual poop. So we are slowly gaining. She does complain of her belly and back hurting which I am sure is from her going through this whole ordeal. Thankfully Lorelai and I have an appointment with Dr. Nancy on Thursday so we can have Ellaree checked out again if needed. I am just worried that we will get another UTI out of this all. I guess if we do we do. At least she is gradually getting back to herself.
Lorelai had a fever last night and cranky...well at least hers is treatable...she is getting another tooth. Well that one I can handle and treat with Tylenol. So we are up to 5 teeth!!!! WooHoo!
Hopefully these posts about poop are coming to an end and we can get back to the fun ones of the kids.
