This afternoon I received a phone call from Dr. Cox, the urgent care dr we saw. He was calling to let me know that the stool samples we did Wednesday night grew. He gave me a very long name for what grew, of course I have no idea what he said, how to pronounce or to how to spell it. But basically in lamin terms it was food poisoning. He explained that most cases you do not treat unless hospitalized, dehydration, high fever, etc. I explained to him that we were back in to see Dr. Nancy yesterday due to still having blood in the stools and not getting any better. So he did prescribe a one time dose of Zithromax to help get things moving in the right direction and also said to still push the yogurt with the good bacteria in it. Thanks to Uncle Jerod we have probiotic yogurt.

Of course by the time I got off the phone with Dr. Cox, Harry was half way home. So he came home the rest of the way and we had dinner then we all went into town around bedtime to get the medicine and gave it to Ellaree right there in the parking lot. Of course she took it like a champ. Hopefully she sleeps better then last night as she was up about 6 times in the night with needing to go to the bathroom. Lorelai on the other hand slept through it all until 6:20. Lorelai is trying to figure out what time is best for her to get up. She has been varying from 4-6:30 when she likes to get up. I have a feeling all my children are going to be like their dad and like to get up at the crack of dawn. Oh the joys of never sleeping in every again. :)

I couple of humorous comments from Ellaree to keep the humor in such a hard week.

"Is it actual poop or diarrhea" - this is the common question each time she goes to the bathroom now.

"I have a diarrhea"

"It won't come out"

Maybe when you are so tired some things are just funnier. Oh well at least we still have humor in our household with no sleep.
