Christmas At Grama & Papa's

After all the excitement of Santa & gifts from Mommy & Daddy, you would think that would be enough for one day. Oh no, off to Readstown we went for Christmas at Grama & Papa's. With Jerod not home yet, we did not do the full blown gift giving. Grama & Papa gave out one gift to each of the girls and the rest we have to wait for Christmas Take 2 at the end of January!

Oh I almost forgot to mention all the extra gifts that we got to open that morning...Papa Harry & Nonie sent their gifts so that Elly would have them to open Christmas morning. Look at this cool puppy book! It is pretty interesting.

Uncle Dave & Aunt Cindy are so kind to never forget Elly. She got Lincoln Logs & a Princess Fun Book. We have been doing some serious building.

Now we are at Grama & Papa's. Elly got a personalized Santa book with her name in the story. I remember getting one of those from Big Papa & Big Grama. I found it the other day and it says I was 4 years old when I got it. It is in pretty sad shape...but I still have it. I hope that Elly takes care of hers so that some day she can read her book to her children. This gift is from our friend Heidi & her two kiddos. She was very sweet and dropped off a gift for Elly & Maddie. Look at that effort to open such a big gift!

And Maddie too had to use some muscles to get the gifts open. Boy was it worth it.

And the fun of sitting with Uncle Nick and playing!

We have lots to be thankful for this year.
