Well Mother Nature has changed our plans. Therefore no Eagan, MN this afternoon for us. We were to be in a winter warning but our area has been taken off although Eagan still is on for tonight with snow and rain. Maybe Thursday night but it is a wait and see type deal now.
Since Harry has from 430 in the afternoon to 8 am to do nothing, he has decided to help out Kwik Trip in the night. Yes I did not stutter. The plan is that the new driver that still needs some training comes up to Eagan, picks Harry up at the KT that is right next to the hotel is in, they go and deliver and drops Harry back off. Last night he got done at 130 am. I think he is quite crazy for doing this but if you know Harry, he can't sit still for that long. I just pray he gets enough sleep and doesn't overdue it.
The kids and I are doing fine. Seems weird to all of us without daddy but we are managing. Lorelai had a little bit of a hard time going to bed last night without daddy but one phone call and she was out like a light. Harry prayed with her and told her to lay down with Lovey and Elmo. That did it! Hoping that tonight goes a little better. The kids call him when they wake up in the morning, he calls during his lunch, after school and before bedtime. So we hear from him quite a bit which is nice.
Today was Ellaree's leader day at school. One of her things she took for show-n-share was a book on Self-Propelled choppers so that she could tell her friends about daddy being at school this week just like her and that is what he was learning. I guess the kids thought it was very cool...especially the boys!
Also this week they are having fun activities each day to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday this Friday. Each day they read a different book and then they dress according to that book. So here is the list for each day...
Monday - My Many Colored Days - each class had a certain color they wore. Pre-K was white.
Tuesday - The Foot Book, The 500 Hats - Crazy sock, shoe and hat day
Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday - Dress as silly as you want!
Thursday - The Cat In The Hat - Red shirt day
Friday - The Sleep Book - PJ Day
As you can see she has been very excited about this. This morning we took a picture of her and sent it to her dad so he didn't miss a thing. Thank God for technology! I will try and get pictures on here sometime this week.
