Eagan, MN

Friday late morning Harry called to let me know they had put him into a class in Eagan, MN for the whole next week.  He will be the main mechanic for self-propelled choppers for the Southwest division for John Deere.  I am so proud of him but with that comes some sacrifices from everyone in the family.  For one, Harry has never been gone for a whole week before.  He has always shown his presence at some point during the day each day.  So this will be very different but worth the sacrifices in the long run.

This weekend we are getting things prepared around the house that Harry usually does and I don't have to worry about like bringing enough wood into the basement so I don't run out for a whole week.

Ellaree was very excited about Daddy going to school but her first question was if he was going to her school.  When I told her he would be at another school and not home for the week she was a little more serious and not too happy about the idea.  Then she asked if she could go see where he would be sleeping.  Soooooo....Tuesday after school and after lunch I will put the kids in the truck around nap time and head up to Eagan, MN for a short visit.  This is around a 3 1/2 hour trip one way.  We should make it there about the time Harry gets out of school and we can hang out in his hotel room, order pizza and then at bedtime I will return home with sleeping babies.  Then in return Harry will come home after school on Thursday night and see us then go back up for Fridays last day.

We also have a busy week and therefore will have help from Grama watching the kids where Harry was going to.  Thank goodness we have Grama close by.  And thank goodness we have the Lord with us each step of the way to give us patience's, guidance and the strength to make it through a long week for all of us.
