Vacation Day #1

As I had wrote on a previous post, I have Wednesday through next Monday off. Here is a quick peak at Wednesday's fun and excitement.

Wednesday morning I grabbed the kids out of bed at 6 AM, still in their jammies and tucked them into their car seats with their blankets and loveys and we headed out for the big town of Darlington. My cousin Jena lives in Darlington. She just recently purchased a house with her husband and they are expecting their first baby boy in October...yup boys are in the air these days.

It was not even 5 minutes in the truck and BANG a deer hit us. It hit up by my headlight and damaged both driver side doors to the back. She was a big doe and left her mark. I stopped, made sure everyone was ok and checked the truck. After calling and discussing it with Harry, we continued on our journey. Thankfully the truck is still drivable and just very much dented up.

Unfortunately it rained most of the time we were there so we had to hang out and not do anything outside. Which was ok because momma forgot Elly's shoes. That is what happens when you try to get out the door before drinking coffee. We did sneak in a little walk with the kids in the strollers and we played 3 hands of Uno. It is officially Elly's favorite game.

Thankfully it was an uneventfully ride home with two sleeping kiddos and got home to hang out with daddy. All in all it was a great day!

Can't wait for Thursday to start!
