Ok so I think I have another strong-willed child on my hands. Last night was night 2 of no bottle in the night and Lorelai cried for an hour and half. I told Harry that we should have done it back at 4 months because we still would have the Nuk and Lorelai would not make me feel as guilty with saying momma all during this time.
So different technique...yes I know it has been only 2 nights but seriously we all need sleep in our house, especially with us all going through the sickness. So I am going to ween her off the bottle by only giving her so much and reducing it gradually. Lorelai has now become the pro at feeding herself and most days during nap I just give her the bottle and she feeds herself and goes down for nap. So I think I will do this at night and see how it goes. Hopefully not so many tears and more sleeping goes on. They say every child is different even though you try to raise them the same way...boy they (whoever they are) hit that one on the head.
Yesterday was my 24 week appointment with Dr. Nancy. All is good and of course Lil Harry was very low once again and so it was hard to find the heartbeat but after a little prodding we found him. He was just hanging out and being lazy like boys are and his heart rate was 130. Aren't you proud of me Sam! I actually asked this time for the number.
After our appointment we went and picked up my friend Ashley who is going to school at Viterbo University and had lunch with her. It was great to catch up with her as I have not go to do that for many years.
Yesterday was also Harry's first day out in the truck. He was so relieved to get out and get started doing the job. Orientation just is not his thing. When asked about all the mind boggling details he had to learn at orientation he was able to tell me that they make 4.1 million glazer donuts a year. Wow glad he got something out of orientation, I would hate for him to not listen. What a dork. Anyway, he went up to Greensboro, WI not MN yesterday which is by Black River Falls and they made 5 drops. One being Blair where is use to fuel up with the milk truck. The lady there recognized him right away and was thrilled that he got the job with Kwik Trip. He was back home by 2:50 in the afternoon. Mind boggling again to think that he was home that early in the afternoon since I am use to him being gone until 7:30 at night. It was great and Ellaree was so excited to know that daddy was home when she woke up from her nap. Great little surprises like that are wonderful to see on her face. I can't wait to experience them with Lorelai and Lil Harry also.
Well I am at home today as I am sick now. I should be the last to be sick with this type of crud and then I am sure we will be on to the next bought of illness. It is that time of the year. Harry's fever finally broke last night and through text today he said he was feeling much better. But last night his fever was up to 102.7. Not nearly as high as what Ellaree's 105 was but still not good. So I am hanging low today as Grama was already planning on taking the girls to her house today since Grapa is off so I kept the plan and hoping to get some stuff done at home but not overdoing it either. I do know a nap is in my future.
