Oh What A Day

Yesterday morning Ellaree woke up with a fever. I had to work a half a day due to the holiday weekend. So Grama watched the girls. Ellaree just hung out watching Clifford and taking Tylenol. The fever never got over 102, which is high enough but still with Tylenol it was ok. Well last night was a little scary as it got up to 105.2 but she was coherent, talking and wanted to watch Shrek. So we did not rush into ER but called right away at 7 to go in to see Dr. Nancy. Well she has a viral infection in her throat. The fall viral is blisters in her throat with very high fevers for 2 days then it goes away.

Well while in there she asked to go to McDonald's for chicken and fries. So that told me that she was doing better. I took her to McDonald's expecting her not to eat very much after buying her food. Well I had to buy pancakes because it was not lunch time yet and Ellaree ate 3 pancakes and a sausage patty. I would say that her appetite is back and she is playing play-do right now with daddy.

Yup that is right Daddy is home today. While in McDonald's he called and said that Nate wanted to try and run the route by himself. Oh yeah, pretty sure you want to know the scoop on why this Nate guy is learning Harry's route. Well tomorrow (ironically his birthday) is his last day with Sampson Trucking. Harry accepted a job with Kwik Trip delivering groceries. As sad as we are about not working for Al and what a great opportunity it has been for Harry for the past 4 1/2 years it was a big and difficult decision that we had to make. Kwik Trip will be more money, less hours and the big factor was health insurance. Nate will be taking over Harry's route. I am sure he will do a great job. Thankfully we have become good friends with the Sampson's and will continue to correspond with them, I am sure, on a regular basis.
