Farming

Well yesterday we sent the girls to Grama's house and Harry and I went over to Papa Harry & Nonie's farm to drag logs out of the woods for this winter. At least if the wood is closer to the buildings we can cut wood anytime of the year when needed. It was so nice to get to hang out just Harry and I and do somewhat of farming together. I have not drove a John Deere tractor before or another tractor for that matter for a very long time. I would have to say since I was living at home on the farm which would have been, I am dating myself here, 13 years ago. I was a little sketchy but it was like riding a bike...it all came back to me. So once we got that all figured out we were on a roll. We got a lot drug up out of the woods and like I said it was just nice to hang out with my husband and working on the farm which is such a dream and passion of ours. I know some of you are snickering right now as I swore up and down while growing up I would never never never live on a farm when I grew up. I guess farming just isn't that bad of a life.

Since Grama is babysitting the girls today we left them there yesterday overnight. I just found out that Liza only got up once in the night and Elly slept all night. That is good to hear. We were tempted to go and get the girls last night from their house as we were sitting on the couch looking at each other saying

"what should we do?"
"it is so quiet in here"
"we could put laundry away"
"wanna watch a mommy/daddy movie"

As you can tell our lives revolve around the kiddos. Eventually we watched a Dirty Harry movie, seriously that is the name of the movie with Clint Eastwood. I think we both fell asleep, well I know I did.

Anyway, off to work this morning and then this afternoon....we get to go meet the newest member of our church family...Jack David Baldwin was born on Saturday afternoon. Katie, his momma, was due to have a c-section on Thursday of this week. But she went into labor and it is a good thing as her uterus was ready to rupture. Thank God everyone is well and healthy! Boys are in the air...does that mean something for us! Hopefully, time will tell soon enough for us.
