Last night around 6 PM I started having contractions. The original plan was that Aunt Laurie and the kiddos were going to come up from Verona to watch Elly, but unfortunately for the kiddos they got the stomach flu. So when the contractions started we called our faithful Uncle Jerod...who by the way has never watched a kid by himself before. We arrived at the hospital around 9 PM and was checked to find out that I was only dialated at 1 cm. Since I was scheduled for a c-section on the 15th at 8 AM, they decided that they would just go ahead and take the baby except for one problem...I had ate at 6...therefore we had to wait 8 hours for the food to digest in me. This was the plan unless my contractions got worse and/or I dialated further...not the case with me.
The c-section went perfectly and I am doing great. I already am up and moving around with the IV out and the catheter. Lorelai is sleeping like a beautiful angel.
