Well today will be my first day alone with both girls. This should be interesting. Actually I am hoping it won't go that badly. Liza is wonderful with her sleeping schedule and Elly is patient for the most part with waiting until I have a hand free. There are some times it gets a little bit on the edgy side but all in all we are all adjusting to life with a 4th member in the family just fine. Liza is sleeping 4 hours at a time at night and so I can't really complain.
Tomorrow will be my first outing with both girls by myself also, and Wed., and Thurs. So we will have lots of practice and by the end of the week I should be a pro at getting them both ready to go and out the door in a timely fashion.
Yesterday we had lots of company with Aunt Jen, Uncle Nick & cousin Maddie coming over to visit. Unfortunately they had to wait until we got home due to the hospital protocol and not letting any children under the age of 18 in unless they are siblings. But this was also good as Maddie and Elly got to go out back and go sledding and just play in the snow. They wouldn't have been able to do that in the hospital.
We also had our good friends Nick and Sam come up and visit. What wonderful friends they are to bring us tons and tons of clothes for Liza in 0-3 months. Now hopefully if she grows just a little they won't fall off of her. Newborn clothes are even too big on her. Sam even got me out of the house and we went to Walmart for diapers. Nothing fantastic but it was nice to get out and I drove...boy almost forgot how! When was the last time I did drive...I think it was Friday to and from work. That seems like centuries ago.
Harry has been awesome with helping me out with housework and night time feedings and/or if Elly gets up in the middle of the night, which hasn't been too much but some. Even with Harry being extremely tired he has been wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better husband and daddy to our girls.
Thanks again to all those that read this blog for all your thoughts and prayers during this time.
