Wednesday afternoon Lorelai and Mommy were finally released from the hospital and we all 4 came home as a family. Oh how nice it was to come home and be with Harry, Ellaree & Lorelai. I never felt so happy to be home in my life.
Last night was a little hard on all of us as Elly was acting out just a little. Call it detox from spending three days with Uncle Jerod & both sets of Grandparents, a little jealousy to the new addition or it could have been a little of both. All in all, we got through it and the night actually went pretty good too. We were worried that Elly would hear Liza in the night and wake up also. She did cry out twice but she was not awake awake. So this morning Daddy & Elly put a door up on her room to help with the noise. She was pretty excited about going down for quiet time with her door shut all the way.
Liza is a good baby. She sleeps a lot more then Elly ever did. We were unsuccessful with breastfeeding again. With Elly it took us 3 weeks to figure out why she was crying a lot, nursing all the time but loosing weight. This time around I noticed signs right away with Liza and Tuesday evening I broke down to reality that I am not meant to nurse and gave her a bottle. She got what she needed in the beginning so I am happy about that. It also is good because this gives Harry bonding time with her also. And Elly is ecstatic to think that she can help feed too.
We have an appointment this afternoon for a checkup as Liza did leave the hospital with some jaundice and they just want to check it out. Her tests came back yesterday 'moderate to low risk'. So we will do labs on her, staples come out of me and then the checkup with Dr. Nancy. A full afternoon at the doctors office.
