The Rest Of The Weekend

After we got done with our Steppin Out In Pink walk we rushed home to pack our bags. We were on our way to Chicago to go visit Harry's family & friends. We were on the road and headed to Chicago by 1 PM.

On the way we stopped in Woodstock, IL where we visited and had supper with Harry's good friend Ryan and his wonderful wife Michaleen. This was the first time meeting Michaleen for Elly & I and we loved her instantly. Of course, we had lots in common as she is due to have their first baby 6 days after our due date. So excited!

Then we left around 7:15 and headed for Papa Harry & Nonie's. Now for Elly I am sure she couldn't understand why we would drive so far out of our way to go see Ryan & Michaleen to then turn around and go back to Papa Harry & Nonie's farm house. What she didn't remember was that they have the farm house by Richland Center but they also have their house in Barrington. Can be a little confusing for a 2 year old.

Nonie & Elly were jamming to some piano music. Elly really took to the piano and really enjoyed listening to Nonie.

On Sunday we were able to have breakfast with Papa Harry & Nonie and then we said our goodbyes and left to go see Great Grandfather. Recently Great Grandfather moved to Barrington. So we were able to spend the majority of Sunday with Great Grandfather and Grandmother. We were able to see his new living quarters and then we were off to a great park in Barrington with an actual tree house where you could have picnics along with all the other things you do at a park.
After our picnic that Grandmother fixed for us we were able to get some great shots in the tree house.

A 4 generation picture was a must and I am so happy that we were able to get it along with having a fantastic day together.
