More Christmas!

There has been a lot of action since Friday night when we had Christmas with Lisa. Saturday we went to my parents house in the morning where the guys went over to Harry & Nancy's farm & cut wood. While my mom & I with the huge help from Elly prepared the food and got everything ready to go for the Hornby Christmas at my grandparents house that afternoon. Christmas at Big Papa & Big Grama's (as Elly calls them) was lots of fun & I always enjoy going back to the farm for Christmas. It is home for me. And usually the only time that almost all of us cousins get together to see each other. And this year we had lots of little ones running around. I forget about that whole having to cut the food up, like grapes - sorry Erica & Ben; not trying to make Micah choke. You just forget about that when you have a child that just stuffs as much food into her little cheeks as she can. She came home that night extra sweet as all her aunts, uncles & cousins gave her lots of snowflake crackers & cookies. Unfortunately, some who had to drive farther had to leave earlier due to the weather. It had started to rain and it was only 29 degrees out. My one cousin, Erica and her family, it took them 6 hours to get home. We were all glad to see them but extra glad that they arrived home safely. I know that it took us an extra 30 minutes to get home and we live a lot closer.

On Sunday, even with the weather the way it was, our friends Nick & Sam came up in the afternoon. Nick went and rode in the milk truck with Harry; while us girls went into town and went shopping. After getting a Starbucks to go of course. Thanks Harry & Nancy. It was great & lots more to have in the future. After shopping Elly completely out we went back to the house to prepare Lasagna & garlic bread for the hungry working men. haha.. Anyway, the rest of the night was just sitting back and enjoying each others company. Unfortunately for them also, the roads back home was not the greatest. But we are very much thankful for their safe drive home.

Hornby Christmas Pictures!
My cousin Jena & I take a picture of us together each time we get together. We think we look like twins in this one.
Here is Elly sporting her new John Deere sweatshirt she had gotten from Lisa on Friday night. I do think that she knew that she was going into Oliver territory but didn't want anyone else to think that she knew.
Yes this is a little bit of a contradiction of I do say so myself. Wearing a John Deere sweatshirt while riding on Big Papa's Oliver Tractor.
This is our newest member of the Hornby Family. Aubrey was born on June 1st. She is a very sweet baby and Elly loved to play with her. Or take her toys when she wasn't looking.
Uncle LaMon & Auntie. Auntie was sitting back and taking a quick nap until us kids caught her!
Nick & Jerod hanging out.
And a cousin photo! Micah, Maddie holding Aubrey and Elly
Micah sporting his stuff.

Christmas with Nick & Sam
Elly and Sam opening her gifts. Well just one before the guys got home. Elly got a very cute Santa ornament and the Little Mermaid Disney movie.
