Child for Sale

If you are a parent I am sure there has been those moments in your life where you have said to someone. I have a child for sale - She is free today. These last couple of weeks the terrible twos have started. Don't get me wrong she is still my precious angel (while she sleeps) but she has definitely learned how to push mommy and daddy's buttons. Oh the joys of parenthood. I know that every phase is a learning curve but what happened to those days of her just being cute and not pushing our buttons.

Yesterday was a hard day right from the beginning. Elly woke up with a fever of 100.5 and was just beside herself. Finally at 7:30 I called Owwy and asked her to come and watch her for the day. I don't know if she was not feeling well from her head cold, teething or a combo. But she was unbearable. I know that she can go to daycare if she only has a fever but I feel guilty as a mom sending her if she really is sick and then she gets everyone else sick and it cycles through all the kids. Therefore since Owwy was available I decided to utilize her. I am sure that if you asked Owwy she didn't have any fun at all. Yeah right!

Yesterday was Harry's early day therefore he was home by 2:30 so that Owwy could pack up and go to Muscoda where she is staying at Maddie's house until Friday to watch her. Boy - she is definitely getting her Grama time in this week. Where should she go next? Maybe she should go to Verona and help out Laurie next.

Speaking of Laurie or better known as Auntie Orie...on Tuesday, Elly and I met our friend Darby at Starbucks (thanks by the way to Grandpa Harry for the gift card). This was the first time Elly got to be inside of Starbucks as I usually go through drive-thru. It was quite interesting as Elly had to visit with all the customers and she went behind the counter many times. I believe her future entails a Starbucks employee. Which wouldn't be so bad as then mommy could get a discount. Anyway, back to Auntie Orie. Elly kept calling Darby Orie. Darby has blond hair and has many features like Auntie Orie. It was so interesting to see how she associates everyone to something. Just like my mom became Owwy after her shoulder surgery. I believe she will have this name for a long time coming. And how she knows the difference between Orie (daycare provider) and Auntie Orie who has Mee Mee (Mikaila), Bubba (Reece) & Nay Nay (Naomi).
