HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!

As Harry and I sat together last night on the couch we reflected over the year 2008 and what had changed for us in our own personal lives and in the economy. I won't go into the economy part of it as everyone is sick of hearing all the negative stuff and hearing about politics (or at least I am). So I will spare you the boring side of our conversation. Reflections on our personal life was this...

February - we made our yearly trip to Kentucky to see Grammy and all the family. We stayed for 2 days. Not long enough in my book but it was Grammy & Elly's first visit together. Oh how much fun we had. I can't wait to go again for this year.

April - Harry helped my parents literally take their entire roof off their house, redo the steepness (Harry would have my head right now if he was here reading this as I am not using the proper terms) and put on a new roof. It was quite the project but with lots of great help they were able to get it done. Also, Jerod had rotator cuff surgery during the roofing project.

May - I transferred to Cashton and went part-time at Organic Valley.

June - Ellaree's 1st birthday! What a huge bash we had.

July - Harry got his new Peterbuilt truck!

August - Laurence comes to live with Jen, Nick & Maddie for the semester. Maddie's big sister from Switzerland.

October - Elly fractured her lesser trochanter.

What a wonderful year we have had. We are very much blessed by God to have a beautiful & healthy daughter. To have family and friends all around us who love and support us. And of course, we have each other. I hope that 2009 enriches us with more love and hope. And that we surround ourselves in God's great love. Happy New Year!
