So the last 48 hours has been a real treat...not really but I guess I have to look at it optimistically. Friday night around 8:00 PM Harry and I left for the ER as my pain was getting worse. Dr. Silva met us there and examined me. Unfortunately, I had eaten at 6 that night and therefore the earliest we could do surgery would have been at 3 AM. So they admitted me to the hospital and gave me Dilaudid (a concentrated morphine) which made me itch all over. Therefore, I was not on that for long. Needless to say, Harry nor I got much sleep as the nurses were in to check on me about every hour. At 5:30 AM they got me up and prepped me for surgery at 6 AM. Surgery went very well. I did have an egg embedded at the end of my right tube that was causing all my pain and discomfort. He was able to scrape the egg out and is hoping that within time that it will heal over the little dip where the egg was at and not have any problems getting pregnant down the road. He did check out my left tube while in there and found that there is no repairing it. Therefore, it is pretty much junk. He also checked to see if he could find any endometriosis which he did not see any. All in all, the surgery went very well. If for some reason I do not get pregnant or have another ectopic pregnancy he can go back in and cut out the part where the egg was embedded and attach the end of the tube to the other section. But hopefully we will not have to go down that road.
I was discharged from the hospital yesterday around 2:30 PM. A very long day for Harry and me. I am doing well. Not much pain or discomfort. I will take Monday off from work but will go back on Wednesday. I think I could go in on Monday but all are telling me no. I guess when you are the patient you don't get much say in the matter. My mom and dad had Elly over night and mom brought her back this morning. Boy how I missed her. We missed going to Mikaila and Reece's birthday party yesterday morning in Verona and we also missed going to Maddie's birthday party in Muscoda. Once again, you can plan all you want but the good Lord usually has other plans. :) I am just glad that we were finally able to get to the bottom of all this and I am doing fine. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers while Harry, Elly and myself have went down this long road.
