Doctor visit update

Today was my postop with Dr. Silva. Already one week since surgery. Well we have kind of good news and kind of not so good news. The kind of good news is that I am healing good and I am not in pain. The kind of not so good news it that my hCG labs from Friday were up from Thursday's numbers. There are a couple of things that could be going on.

1. My hCG labs could be a false positive. What this means is that sometimes the antibodies can interfere and therefore the blood test can be a false positive. So we took a urine pregnancy test to see if that comes back with hCG levels in it. If it does then we know that the blood tests are accurate and if they come back negative then we know that the antibodies are interfering.
2. My pathology report from my ectopic pregnancy came back with calcification's. This means that there is a very good chance that my right tube and only good tube will more then likely block within time.

What does he want to do about all this...if the urine test comes back positive then he wants to go back in surgically and remove the ectopic part of my tube and attach the two good parts of my tube together. If we are going to do this he wants to do it within a week as right now we can consider it part of the ectopic pregnancy and therefore the surgery would be covered under the insurance. Otherwise, they would consider it fertility and then it would not be covered.

Unfortunately, we did not get the urine results back before the end of the day today and therefore have to wait until Monday to find out the results. So once again, hurry up and wait.
