Elly's a big girl!!!

In a couple past posts, I had mentioned how Elly now sits at the island on the stool and eats her snacks. Well we have graduated to breakfast time sitting at the island with daddy. She sits on her own stool without any help and does a very good job. Of course, eating cereal by herself is a big accomplishment too. So, I have videoed her eating Cheerios by herself. There were a couple times I thought she was going to lift the bowl up to her mouth and spill it all over but she didn't. She actually did a very good job and no real bloopers to show.Elly eating Cheerios for breakfast all by herself.

Friday night we went to my parents house for an appreciation steak dinner for all those that helped with the roof. It was lots of fun and got to see many people that I hadn't seen in a long time. Elly was so tired when we left as she was playing hard with her cousin Maddie.

Saturday Harry had off and we didn't do much which was nice. We just hung out as a family all day. Wow that doesn't happen very often.

And Sunday Elly and I stayed at home and cleaned house so that it looked presentable for when Grandpa Harry and Nana came. I went in the milk truck with Harry up to Blair while Grandpa Harry and Nana took Elly out to Culver's for dinner. We took the 2nd load up so that Harry would be done early today so that we can go back to my parents for a Labor Day celebration/birthdays and anniversary celebration that they have every year. We are taking our swimsuit (ours as in Elly) so that her and Maddie can run through the sprinkler. I will definitely need my camera for that. :)
