Have you ever sat and laughed at a situation and said "your funny God"? As I went into my appointment this morning I was quite anxious and nervous. When I walked out of my appointment that is how I was feeling..."your funny God!"
When Dr. Silva came into the room he said immediately "your hCG levels are very high...they are around 650". For those of you that don't know the hCG levels continue to increase during your pregnancy. My hCG levels were higher then last month when I was pregnant. This made him wonder if I might be pregnant again. We did an ultrasound and did a lot of measuring which didn't help much b/c if it is an etopic pregnancy from last month then it is small and there. If it is a new pregnancy then it is sooo early that we don't know. So, at this point in time, we are considering this a new pregnancy. As Dr. Silva said "we have to give the little guy or little girl the benefit of doubt". Tomorrow I will go in again to lab for hCG levels, pregnancy test & my kidney and liver functions.
Why all these different tests? Well hCG level to tell if it is an etopic pregnancy from last month or if it is a new pregnancy. If my levels continue to rise we will consider it a new pregnancy. If they plato or if they decline then we will go back to it being an etopic pregnancy from last month. The pregnancy test...well that one is obvious. And the liver/kidney function test...well that one is so that if it is an etopic pregnancy then I can have that chemo shot. He said that he feels that it is too far to try it but at the same time he wants to try that before having surgery.
So again we sit, wait and pray that the Lord will guide us.
