1st for Elly

We had a lot of first this weekend. Friday night we went to Viroqua to watch the Wild West Days Parade. This was Elly's first Wild West Days parade and she loved it. She sat in her stroller and was mesmorized by all the horses that went by. We were accompanied by her Aunt Jen, Uncle Nick, cousin Maddie, Grama & Papa along with of course her mommy and daddy. When we got to the house Friday night to get ready for the parade her daddy had gotten out the cowboy boots and hats. This was also a first for Elly; wearing a cowboy hat that use to be mine (a little big) and her first pair of pink John Deere cowboy boots. Boy did she like those. They were very cute on her. We had a great time and afterwards we had an ice cream treat at Culver's with the family.

Saturday Harry went and got us a feed bag full of sweet corn. We shucked it, boiled it and ate some and the rest we cut off the cob and froze it for a winter treat. The extra that was laying around Elly went around and ate. She loves sweet corn! We had a blast watching her eat it and try to pick it up. Some can be quite slippery.

Oh yes and I almost forgot.....Elly finally got on her rocking horse that she got for her birthday for the first time without screaming and crying. She was a little unsure of herself at first but then she got to liking the idea. She really likes when it sings and neighs.

So here are some pictures of our weekend. Have a great day!!!!Elly riding her rocking horse
Elly wearing her first cowboy hat and her pink John Deere boots. You can't see the pink since she is wearing pants but it is there.
Elly walked all over the house with her new boots on trying to make noise but unfortunately they are soft sole.
Yumm-O sweet corn!
This is good stuff!!!!
