Test Results

Ok well here is what's happening today with my tests. I had the Sono-Hysterosalpingogram or Sono-HSG done. If you remember this is an ultrasound of the uterus and fallopian tubes. This procedure shows whether the tubes are open and also oulines the shape of the uterine cavity. When there is a blockage of the tubes, fertilization of the egg cannot take place. So they did a vaginal ultrasound first and found that the left ovary was hiding, which this does most often, and found that it was attached to the uterus. It is attached with scare tissue. As we proceded to do the dye, they found that my right ovary is great and working wonderfully. My left ovary not so much. There is quite a bit of blockage. The scare tissue and blockage could have happened after the c-section or could have been there longer. What does this mean from here? This means that since we still have one good ovary it will take longer to get pregnant but it doesn't mean that I am infertile. Therefore, we are going to try on our own until September and/or October and if still not pregnant then we will go on clomid, a fertility drug. If I would get pregnant before September or October Dr. Silva wants to see me right away to check the baby and keep an eye on it to make sure we are able to keep it.

Harry and I are very impressed and happy with Dr. Silva. If you recall, I have mentioned earlier how in 2002 I had seen Dr. Silva at Gundersen Lutheran and I didn't care for him. But he is doing a wonderful job this time around. We are keeping our faith in God and knowing that in the right time we will get pregnant with or without Dr. Silva's help.

Oh yeah, one more thing about our tests...all other tests with me and Harry have come back normal.

We want to thank you all for your love and prayers. Miscarriages are hard but with the love and support that we get from our family and friends it is much easier to go through.

At this time, we are just focusing all our energy on Elly and her party that is coming up. We are so excited. The weather is suppose to be rainy every day up to her party and then Sunday it is suppose to be sunshine and 80's. That is a total God thing.
