Well we went and saw the fertility doctor. His name was Dr. Paul Silva. I actually went and saw him many years ago at Gundersen Clinic for my endometriosis. So at least we had a little background and we weren't starting from scratch. We were much impressed with him as he gave us a plan. The other specialist seemed to just say that I was ovulating and therefore I should be able to have a baby. Why yes, I can have a baby - see June 4, 2007 and you will see the most beautifulist baby ever that came into this world. :) So Dr. Silva gave us some things tests that he would like us to do like having a Sono-Hysterosalpingogram or Sono-HSG. Many of you are probably wondering what the heck that is... Well it is an ultrasound of the uterus and fallopian tubes. This procedure shows whether the tubes are open and also oulines the shape of the uterine cavity. When there is a blockage of the tubes, fertilization of the egg cannot take place. So this will take place next Thursday. Also, he is thinking but not sure until after all test results come back that he might have me start taking Clomiphene or clomid. Clomid is a hormone that you take before ovulation to stimulate your brain to say that your body is not producing enough hormones and therefore your body releases more hormones. This will help us to get pregnant and if there is more hormones in the body then hopefully that will help to maintain the pregnancy. So this is what we learned yesterday in a nut shell.
Today is my last day in the LaFarge building at Organic Valley. Next week, I will start my new location and hours. I will be working in Cashton and working Monday, Wednesday & Friday. More time with Little Missy. I am so excited. This will be good.
News on the Little Missy....she is teething and therefore no one in this household is getting much sleep. She has been waking up about 2-3 times in the night screaming. I feel so bad that there is nothing that I can do for her but comfort her and help her relax enough to go back to sleep.
This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. We are so busy but it will be lots of fun...especially with the nice weather predicted. And then of course, next weekend is when ALL the fun will be as it is Elly's 1st birthday party!!!!! I am so excited to have her first party but at the same time I can't believe that she is 1 already.
Last week, Tuesday I met my mom at work with Little Missy and so I took her in so that everyone could see her before I did move to Cashton and I wouldn't be able to bring her in as much. My friend, Gina, took some pictures while Elly was there.
