Well we got one night under the belt. It was a little rough but we made it through. I have restrictions of lifting 20 lbs or less which means I can't lift Lorelai but I can Harry. I can do stairs although it is a little slow going up and down. Harry has been wonderful to help me with my catheter at morning and night and during the day of changing it out. Not many husbands would do this I am guessing. He has been wonderful in helping with anything and everything so that I can recover quicker. I am going to be saddened when he goes back to work but understand and we have other great help lined up.
Elly is staying by my side and leaving me for a minute. Harry asked her if she wanted to into town today and run errands during naptime in the afternoon and she refused. This is so not like her to refuse running errands one-on-one. Lorelai is Lorelai and just rolls with the punches. She is only confused by the fact that momma doesn't pick her up like normal but we still do hugs and kisses just sitting down on the couch and her standing next to me. Harry was a little fussy the first day he came into the hospital but once he was snug in my arms he was done fussing. That seems to be the trick these days and he seems to get the most attention from momma as I can pick him up although I do let Harry if he is available. Harry seems like a huge brick to me at the moment. I am sure in a few days/weeks things will be back to normal.
The pain is tolerable although I would definitely have a baby over this anyday. At least you have a beautiful baby at the end of the day instead of just lots of pain and a great catheter buddy at your side.
Well basically that is how it is going here. We are managing like always. Taking one day at a time and thanking God for his provisions and not having it worse then it is.
