Well I believe I lost my mucus plug this morning. I know x-rated but who is holding back these days, right. I say I think as I never have experienced this with the girls. So I called Nurse Lori and just got off the phone with her as she wanted the whole scoop from yesterday also.
Basically the ultrasound said that I am 36.3 weeks yesterday but Lil Harry is measuring at 35 weeks. Therefore it would not be good for him to come out right now as he would be considered premature and little boys lungs and development altogether is slower then girls. So we would be visiting the NCU instead of bringing him home. Which none of us would like. So it is a blessing nothing happened yesterday. It is just the way things were done that ticked us off. Nurse Lori did say too that Dr. Sherman gets a little over anxious and comes off not the greatest when he thinks there is a problem.
So I am to monitor to see if any more discharge/mucus plug comes out more. Obviously my only option this weekend is to go back to the hospital but I do have an appointment with Dr. Sherman on Monday (Harry's day off) for my official preop and then we kept my appointment with Dr. Nancy on Tuesday in case we have more problems/questions. And I can always cancel if I want for Tuesday.
So for now I am at home. I am warm with wood heat, in my own comfy clothes and with my family. Unless anything drastic changes I will deal with the pain and take minimal pain medication. Only God knows at this point when Lil Harry will arrive. Faith is all we got to go on right now...but it is a good choice.
