Quiet Time

Well since Elly doesn't think she needs naps anymore we have went to Quiet Time. During Lorelai's afternoon nap we do quiet time for Elly which consists of reading books and/or watching a movie on the couch. Usually she chooses a movie and this is also time for me to rest. The rules are no talking and no getting off the couch during this time so that momma can shut her eyes and rest. This has been working great. Elly and I are not butting heads about being quiet and she is enjoying this time. I have nodded off a couple of times where the movie gets done and she lets me know. And there has been a couple times she has nodded off herself. All in all this is a win win situation for all of us as we are all getting much needed rest time. Hopefully this continues to be a good deal after Lil Harry comes home. We might have to reevaluate a little.
