4th of July

We go through life and it seems like life just gets busier and busier.  You have to schedule for this and that and sometimes I wish I could just throw my planner away it gets that busy.  But in the midst of it all, God knows what will happen and what will not.  That is how our 4th went.  I had a plan and it went nothing like my planner said.  But so much would have been missed, so much would have happened differently. God new how it needed to happen and he orchestrated it just perfect....like always.
The kids and I got to be apart of the 4th of July parade handing out candy & Save The Date cards for the 3rd annual Angels of Hope 5K Walk/Run. We had so much fun.

Our little candy helpers - ages 1 to 8

Afterwards I had to decide - pay for overpriced vendor food, go home or go to my cousin's place for her annual 4th party.  We opted for free food and good company at my cousin's.  Harry was at his dad's working on the farm.

The kids had a blast - hayride is always a good time.

But better on the wagon floor then on the hay itself

As we were headed back I got a text from Harry saying a calf was sick with pinkeye and could use my help.  See if I had went home I would have been 40 minutes from the farm but at my cousin's I was not even 10 minutes from there.  God knows and he always orchestrates it just right.  When we got back it was a quick run around of Grama keeping the kids there, Grapa came with me and we headed for the farm.  With us and Harry & Papa Harry after the 3rd attempt we got it captured and antibiotics in.  Now praying all goes well.

Back to the party for Grapa & Me - we missed the slip-n-slide but the kids didn't miss us.
Did I mention I was not planning on going to this party so I had no swim suites or anything with me.  Yes they went in their clothes.  Good thing I had extra clothes with.

Love this picture of Harry giving rides to the little ones.

Sparklers were a first for the kids.  I am terrified of them therefore I have never bought them.  I did see on Pinterest how you can put a plastic up at the end to protect your hand.  The kids really liked this.

Dad made it by about 7 for supper and fireworks.  The kids were excited to see him.

Lor climbed up on Grapa's lap.  She loves her Grapa!

What a great day full of wonderful blessings from God!
