Happy Mother's Day!

On Saturday and Sunday it was cold and very windy.  But after church on Sunday we still went out and planted our flowers in our pots that we received from Grammy's.  We thought there was no better way to celebrate Mother's Day then to plant flowers in honor of a wonderful woman.  Each kid has their own pot.  They got to put the dirt in, pick out and plant their own flowers and take care of them.  We call them Grammy's Flowers and they are so proud of them.

I received many many many hugs and kisses on Sunday.  Ellaree brought home a boatload of gifts for me.  She planted a pumpkin seed and a zinnia seed in cups.  And these great gifts as well...
This is a card but I hung it up on the cupboards in the kitchen with the rest of her creations.

A flower....if you can't read it all here is what each pedal says starting with the dark blue one up top...

I love Mommy
She Feeds my family
She feeds Harry
Mom feeds my Lorelai
She feeds my daddy
I feed her
Feeds Me

I am guessing that she loves the fact that I feed my family.  Or I am a good cook.  When I asked her she just smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

Her heart

This picture was hilarious.  The picture is of a horse, mommy and Ellaree

This si a picture of my mom.
She is 32 years old.
Her favorite thing to do
is kiss my horse.
She is very good
at feeding my horse.

So not sure why I am good at these things since we don't even have a horse but maybe she is looking into her future.

Even with Harry having to go out on a Planter Service Call on Sunday (which I was not too thrilled about) we had a wonderful day together.  We pulled the sofa out into a bed and watched a movie together as a family and just hung out together.  I couldn't ask for much more.  I asked for a bird feeder and instead of buying me one Harry is making it.  I am excited to see how it turns out.

Other things we have been up to...

Ellaree got her first lawn mower driving lesson on Saturday.

Ellaree rode the bus home to Aunt Laura's with Cole & Karlee.  She loved riding the bus and it was the first time I have been around to see her get off the bus.  It was so much fun to see her. She is growing up so fast.

We have found some great places for Ellaree to read lately.  Here is one.  I took our fitted sheet from our bed and put it on her headboard and footboard to make a castle out of her bed.  The kids loved it as you can see.

Today was a great day to be outside so we were cleaning up some of the outside toys.  Harry and Lorelai decided the dandelions needed watered.  They took great pleasure in doing so and kept them occupied for a very long time.  My hosta bed got weeded in the meantime.  Gotta love water!

Last weekend we had the fun priveledge of having a family BBQ baby shower for my brother and sister-in-laws first baby girl.  She is due June 8th and we are so excited.
