Birthday, Pictures & Stats

Lorelai turned 3 already.  Where did the time go to?  WOW next year my baby will go to school.  It is just unreal to think about.  I got Lorelai's pictures taken about two weeks ago but I haven't done anything with them yet for printing or blogging.  Her birthday was a fun day and we just got home from her three year old check-up.  Here are the pictures.

I attempted to make Lorelai's cake this year.  I have never done this as I always just order them as I know I am not a very good cake decorator.  But Thursday afternoon I found this recipe and had to try it.  I went out on a limb and it worked after two tries and two recipes Friday evening we had this wonderful looking cake ready to go for Saturday's party.

 

It was so worth the headache.

We had to light the candles twice as Lorelai didn't wait for us to sing or take pictures.  She was so excited.

Saturday morning Lorelai got to unwrap her gift from us.  She got her first big girl bike.  We had to assemble it but Daddy had fun with all their help.  Lorelai is still a little short but we are hoping by spring time she will be good to go.

 

Today we had her 3 year check-up.  She did great.  She is now old enough to get a "hug" on her arm...blood pressure. 

 

Weight ~ 29 lbs ~ 39%

Height ~ 36 1/4 inches ~ 29%

 

I asked Dr. Nancy if she was able to estimate her height as a grown up as I have heard that some do that now.  I predicted correctly for Lorelai...she is going to short and stout just like her momma.  She is predicted to be around 5'3" or 5'4".
