Christmas Baking Day

Saturday is a day I will never forget filled with many wonderful memories. I set up a baking day in hopes that my cousin Darren would be able to come and help with baking, since he is the expert Christmas baking dude. But unfortunately, work duty called.

Grama & Papa had Maddie & Elly all day Friday and overnight. So Saturday morning Grama & Papa got the girls ready and headed for Westby. Jen was able to have a date with her husband Friday night, sleep in and then venture on up at her leisure. Then Saturday morning, I get this wonderful phone call from Auntie Laurie saying the WHOLE family is coming up from Verona! WooHoo! What better news could I have for the day. What I thought was going to end up being just mom and me (which don't get me wrong would have been fun, too) turned out to be a whole lot of family time and lots of good memories in the making.

This was the beginning because by the time the little girls got done, you could
barely see them. They were so covered in flour from head to toe.

Grama made each of us these wonderful Fall aprons.
Thanks Grama!
Maddie & Mikaila taste testing the cookies.
Yumm-O!

And of course we needed a picture of all our taste testers for the day.

This is the best picture we could get with them all.
What a bunch of cute little stinkers!
