So we are still in shock over the fact that Lorelai is a girl when we all thought she was a boy. Especially with this being Mikaila's first time being wrong. SHOCKING! But at the same time we are overjoyed over the fact that we will have another precious baby girl.
I have been asked how you pronounce her name and does her name have a meaning. Well of course I will share with you what it all means.
Lorelai is pronounced Lor-a-li. If you are trying to figure out where you have heard this name before it is off the serious Gilmore Girls. Harry actually is the one that chose the name. He chose it because he really liked the name but also says because he thinks she is hot. Rolling eyes.
So that is the pronunciation of her name and how she got her first name. Opal is from Harry's Grammy on his dad's side. She is such a neat lady.
Jean is from quite a few people actually. Jean is my Grandma Hornby's middle name, my dad's middle name, Harry's Grandmother on his mother's sides middle name, Jerod's middle name. I think we got them all.
And there you go...we have a Lorelai Opal Jean Young! Harry said it would only take him the next 2 years to remember how to spell her name like it did with Ellaree. Poor guy.
There are many that are feeling sorry for Harry because he is outnumbered. Oh well, he will get over it! Haha
