We had our cardiology appointment today. Dr. Tak was helpful and not so helpful. I say this with the kindest words possible. I believe he was a bit stumped as to why they sent me to see him as he feels he is not up-to-date with syncope in pregnancy. Therefore, he was able to ask a lot of questions and give us some options but didn't feel comfortable with running a lot of tests. We did all agree on going tomorrow for a echo cardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) to rule out any blockage that might be there. The Holter Monitor was to test the rhythm of my heart and the electrodes of the heart where this will show blockage and any malfunctions that might appear.
We will have this done at 8:45 AM tomorrow and then will meet with Dr. Nancy at 4:10 PM to discuss the results. Dr. Tak did suggest going to Mayo to see what they had done but also agreed that if all tests come back normal then it is a very good possibility that it is the baby laying on a vein.
With finding out during our c-section with Elly that I have a heart shaped uterus and she was breech we are feeling this is why Baby Liza is sitting on this vein and not able to move off of it. All matters of wait and see what happens.
