Well another doctor appointment. Tuesday I had an appointment to check to see if the Clomid is working. They do this by doing a vaginal ultrasound to see if I am ovulating. My right side is ovulating great. So we are hoping that is all good news. They can administer a shot that will guarantee you to ovulate within 36-48 hours after having the shot. But I figured I was not ready to go that far until we see if we can do this almost on our own. It is funny because out-of-pocket cost for the shot is $67 for the shot but then $42 for the nurse to administer the shot. But they can give me the needle and I can give it to myself and then I don't get charged the $42. Isn't that insane.
Also, after our appointment on Saturday, we received a letter from the insurance company stating that any doctors appointments with Dr. Silva was not covered due to infertility. But I am not completely infertile. Just one side. So we will see what happens. The funny part about this whole thing is, that Dr. Silva told us that the owner of the insurance company is on the board at Franciscan Skemp. So you would think that he would be for this. Dr. Silva is protesting these changes in the insurance - so hopefully things will change.
Here are some pictures that Aunt Kristi took on Father's day at my parents house.
