Did you know that cutting wood consisted of digging a tractor out of the mud for a couple of hours! Harry and my dad went up to Papa Harry's farm to do some cutting wood. There was some good hickory and oak logs down in the bottom but you would have to cross the crick to get to them. Well guess what...it is still wet down in the bottom by the crick. They got one log out of the whole ordeal and lots of back labor to go with it! I am sure this winter they will really appreciate the hickory when they are burning it.
