That is how we are feeling these days...Lorelai has started the whole spitting up, fussy stages again but I don't believe that it is "just colic" like some have said to us. Because if it was "just colic" then she would not be sleeping 4-5 hours at a time at night or on her back.
The other day I received some coupons and information from Similac. In there actually was information on what to do if you have a fussy baby and along with it was a website called feeding experts . After taking a questionnaire it stated that Lorelai might be lactose intolerant. And they suggested putting her on soy. Well just by coincident I had 2 cans that I had gotten in the mail of free samples. We tried the soy, by mistake starting her on it at night time. I was up with her every 2 hours if not less that night, the soy just was not filling her up and satisfying her. So I went back to the regular Similac until today when I had my 6 week checkup with Dr. Nancy, yes already 6 weeks. I mentioned to her about the soy that it seemed to help her not be so fussy and she didn't spit up at all in the night. Most mornings when I go to pick her up her sheet is soaked from where she has spit up in the night. Scary for me as I don't hear her spitting up. Dr. Nancy suggested trying to mix the 2 together so that she is still satisfied but also not spitting up and is not as fussy. So once we got home we started our first bottle mixed. We will see how it goes. Anything is worth a shot at this point.
