Father's Day

Father's Day was good. Harry was off - well off from picking up milk but not from milking the cows. But he was done around 6 AM. So that wasn't bad. Elly & I made Harry cinnamon rolls & gave him his gift, which was a John Deere t-shirt, John Deere photo frame with Elly's picture in it & Prirates of the Carribean #3. It was very cute b/c when we were in the store looking at the JD t-shirts I held up two shirts to Elly and asked her which one we should buy daddy. She looked at them for quite some time and finally chose the brown one that said Dig It! I thought it was very cute.

We worked on Elly's room. This was great for me as I have been pushing for this to happen since we moved in. Friday night we had our friend Lisa watch Elly while we worked upstairs and cleaned her room out. It was being used as storage and we needed to clean that out first. Then yesterday we put OSB on the walls. And now we can start putting up the drywall. I am so excited!!!

Elly's room before. We gutted two rooms and took out a wall in between to make them one large room. Otherwise they were just two very small rooms. And the first picture shown didn't have any heating in it.

I will send pictures of the progress soon!

In the afternoon, we went to my parents and celebrated with a cookout. There was lots there...my grandma & grandpa Hornby, my parents (of course), my sister - Jen, Nick & Maddie, my brother - Jerod, my A. Karen & U. La Mon, my A. Kristi & U. Kevin, and cousins Shelly, Paxtyn & Chase. We had lots of fun just hanging out.

I do need to note that I need prayers as I am home sick today with my endometriosis. I have been not doing well lately with the pain again. Elly went in the milk truck this morning with Harry as he was going to take her to daycare. Unfortunately, I am not able to keep her with me when I am sick b/c I can't keep up with her and give her what she needs. It breaks my heart to think that she can't stay with me.

I just spoke with Harry and he said that Elly did ok. She would cry when he left the milk truck but she would soon realize that he was coming back. But the tears were already there. Poor girl. But all in all, Harry said she did great and he enjoyed having her with him.
