Elly's 1

Well today Elly is finally 1. I won't say she is one yet since it is not 1:52 PM. I am still holding onto a little piece of my baby. She isn't so much a baby anymore...as she is more a toddler. Yesterday as I was sitting on the couch with her she looked at me with lovey in her arms and she said "night night". That was her first time saying that but I melted because she is coming up with quite the vocabulary in such a short amount of time. I am so glad that I was able to take today off and spend it with her. These are the days that you won't ever get back. So we are just hanging out today at home. The big fun will be when daddy gets home from work. We will give her gifts from us and have a great dinner together. My goal is to take off for every birthday for Elly and for future babies to come. I think it is important for them to know that they have one if not more special days with me.
