Last night after supper I decided that it would be fun to take the kids on a bike ride out the road and back. We have done this before and it is fun but not far for them. It didn't last long as we started down the little incline and Lor hit some gravel. She lost her balance and started to tip. She was down but that's not all...Harry was right behind her and he couldn't stop. He ran over her which led to him falling off his bike. I had blood everywhere and Daddy had just left. I called him, not sure what I said but I do know it was basically screaming. I had Ellaree help Harry as his was just bloody nose and bloody lip. Lor on the other hand was blood head to toe. I rushed her into the house and Ellaree brought Harry. I started a compress on her head and I had lots of crying and screaming. Daddy came rushing in and helped out. We finally decided that her gash on her head was too deep and I needed to take her into the local ER. Daddy stayed at home with the other two.
Lor did exceptionally well at the ER. As scared as she was she did very well. They were able to help clean her up and they did do glue on her gash rather then stitches.
What a scary night it could have ended so much worse. We are thanking God he was with her and got us through a rough night. All the kids have agreed we are not going down that road again anytime soon. Ironically this is the same little incline that Ellaree had her first bike digger when she was 4.
Do you see Lor's fashionable red streaked hair? She wanted to keep it and was disappointed when I got her home and washed it all out.
While the nurses were cleaning Lor up and she was so scared and crying a nurse came in and gave Lor this cute little teddy bear. she didn't acknowledge the bear for quite some time until everyone left the room then she quieted down and started playing with the bear.
