Easter

We had a very eventful and fun Easter weekend.  Ellaree got done school Thursday at 1:00 and then didn't go back until today.  So we had lots of time for fun.  Here is the lowdown on our weekend.

First I have to back up to last Wednesday.  Ellaree had her second quarter Parent/Teacher Conferences.  If you can imagine she is doing great!  The only thing I questioned on her report card was that she had an "N" for "not yet" on tying her shoes.  I looked at Ellaree and said "you know how to tie your shoes" with a response from Ellaree "uh oh".  Therefore her teacher looked at her and said she was on her own for tying her shoes.  Little turkey was having help so she could get to recess faster.  I mean brilliant idea but what a little turkey.  Anyway, her Math has come a long way as well since first quarter.  We discussed who I would like for her teacher next year and gave her my preference.  All in all a wonderful conference.  We are so proud of our Little Bugaboo.

Thursday, like I said, school was done at 1 which was nice.  Ellaree had her Spring Party in which she took those cute eggs in a nest for a treat.  She had lots of tell me when she got home.

Friday my sister and Maddie came up to our house for some baking.  We started off with a Resurrection Roll.  This is an activity to teach the kids how to Jesus died and rose again.  They loved it and it was so much fun to hear their fun answers and how much they new.  Then onto making Monster Cookies.  For this we dug right in...and when I say dug in I mean dug in as the two oldest girls were digging peanut butter out of the jars with their hands.  They loved it!

Harry was in charge of the butter
Lorelai was in charge of the oatmeal
Ellaree was in charge of the peanut butter
Maddie was in charge of cracking the eggs

Opening the butter carton can be tricky some times

Look how cute these kiddos are!  Aunt Jen made their chef hats and aprons one year for Christmas.  You will notice Lorelai's hat says Liza.  Aunt Jen's family is the only ones that gets away with calling her Liza and she lets everyone know it too.  I think it is sweet and just down right cute!

Friday night Mommy was too exhausted to cook supper.  Therefore we took advantage of Ellaree's Book It Certificates to Pizza Hut and we all met daddy there for supper.  Oh how fun it is to have free pizza!

Saturday Daddy worked at John Deere for a little while.  We got ready for going and visiting our friends who just had a baby.  We made them lots of goodies and then went and spoiled all 4 of their kids.  It was so much fun going and snuggling with a newborn.

Sunday Was so much fun for us to watch the kids with their Easter baskets, talk about Jesus' resurrection, how they love church and just their maturity from just a year ago in regards to all this.  It is so fun to watch them grow and learn.

We had to actually wake the kids up to get their Easter baskets since we had to head to church soon.  It felt a little rushed but they still had fun getting their baskets and finding eggs.  They each got new croks, a book & a movie.  The eggs each had M&M's in them and they got to find 7 eggs each.

Harry had a blast finding his eggs and eating M&M's for breakfast

Ellaree was on a mission

Lorelai was just having fun carrying her basket around

Even though we were pressed for time I got a few shots of the kids in their outfits.  We got lots of wonderful comments in regards to their outfits.  Thanks Grandmother!

This is just too hilarious.  I was trying to snap as fast as I could and didn't really look at the pictures until today.  Well this is definately going in the books for when they grow up.  So cute and funny!

After service we headed to Richland Center to the Whitehouse where we had brunch with some family friends.  We had a great time and delicious food.  Afterwards we went to our friends and hung out and then the kids got to help milk the cows.  Lorelai has been dreaming of milking Uncle Mark's cows.  Her dream came true and she has been asking to go back again soon!

Monday we had no school.  We hung out at home.  Grama came and took us out to eat and we just got the house straightened back up.  It was nice to have a day of relaxing.

Today was Ellaree's leader day and she took Monster Cookies that she had made on Friday.  She was super excited and was thrilled to go back to school today.  I am running late to go and pick her up therefore this has not been proof read or edited.  :)
