I believe I mentioned in Ellaree's 5 year old well checkup that she needed an eye appointment as Wisconsin is recommending that it be done by an Opthomologist vs a regular family physician. Therefore today we had our first visit to the eye clinic.
Ellaree did very well but she did complain about not being able to see as much out of her left eye. As a mom I started to worry. But after seeing the doctor all was put into perspective for me.
Ellaree has one docolot of far sightedness. This is not to be worrisome at this point. They do not treat until it hits a three. I will be letting her teacher know just for the heads up in case she notices a struggle in her reading. Also, we will continue to recheck this once a year at this point.
Harry and I are guessing that she will need reading glasses like Harry. But for the time being we will sit back and pray that her eye sight doesn't get any worse. We are thankful that it was only one docolot.
