Merry Buzz

There is a buzz going on at our house this weekend.  We have been very busy as we went Friday and got our tree.  Thank goodness too since it has been cold and rainy on Saturday & Sunday with some snow.  Friday was perfect.  Sun was shining, it was in the mid-40s and no wind.  The kids had a great time trekking through the field finding just the right tree.  And of course the cookies and hot cocoa was great too.

Grama had given us a little Christmas tree for Ellaree's room a while back and then she gave us a 3 foot tree this year.  Well the little tree went in Lorelai's room so that it could sit on her dresser and then Ellaree got the 3 foot tree.  Well we will have to get another one for Harry's room next year.  It will be mighty festive.

Friday after getting the Christmas tree Elllaree went to Uncle Steve & Aunt Laura's for overnight.  Super excited as she reminded us before we got to the tree farm that we could not be there long as she needed to get back home so she could go to Aunt Laura's.  It was in a very matter-of-fact tone, I might add.

Saturday morning Lorelai and I put up the Christmas garland, stockings and holders.  She had a great time helping me while Ellaree was gone and Harry was napping.  Harry got home around 630 due to weather therefore we only put up the tree and lights.  As Harry was dragging the tree in from the garage, Ellaree's eyes started to drift close.  She had went hard while on the farm at Aunt Laura's and was just plain exhausted.  It was a nice surprise for her this morning to walk into the living room and have the tree up.  Lorelai however thought it was great that she got to help daddy put the angel on since Sissy was sleeping.

This morning the kids were more then eager to help do their chores so that they could get on to decorating the tree.  Harry informed me more then once he didn't need to be around to help decorate.  He put the tree and lights up.  Decorating was mine.  We got the tree decorated, Ellaree's tree decorated and the house.  And of course we did this all to the wonderful sound of Christmas music playing in the background.

We are ready for Christmas to come!
