Many of you have heard but there are some that have not. Tuesday night I got the most frightening text message I could get. My dad had a heart attack.
Through it all I have seen God's hand in all of this. Had he ignored the signs he would have went to bed 15 minutes later. His back & shoulder pain for the past week was signs. His tiredness was signs (even though we thought it was from work). God gave him the instinct to know that it was something very different and needed checked out. Thank you Jesus!
As hard as it was to see him Saturday after surgery I was thankful for this week that so many that offered and stepped up and helped watch the kids, thoughts, prayers and love! God definitely is not done with Dad! I am thankful that he is getting the help he needs and will come home with lots more energy and new man! I thank God that he gave me the ability to be productive during a crisis and to get things done. I was the go-to person and it helped my mom tremendously that she didn't have to worry about paperwork or the small simple stuff that I could handle for her.
I have learned through all this that we take family & friends and our daily lives for granted. We don't look at the importance of each breathe we take. We don't look at the time we spend with each other as a blessing like we should. We need to see every moment from God as a blessing. Don't sweat the small stuff. Don't look at every moment with worryness but rather look at it as an opportunity to love and trust God with everything!
God is so good all the time! All the time God is so good!
