Growing up I always heard the phrase "end of school year is always so busy". I am feeling it right now with everything that needs to be done before the final day. So much to do, so little time. This past week has been like that as I try to stay afloat.
The big news this week was Ellaree going to her Kindergarten visit. This meant that she would be attending school for the full day. I always pick her up at 11. Then the PM class comes at 12. Afternoon classes get done at 320. This meant she would be at school from 745 (or 8 when school starts) and would be there until 320. Wow that would be a long day for her. The class would go to Kindergarten and would participate in everything that the kindergartners did...snack, rest time, recess, lunch, etc. They were paired up with a buddy for the day. Ellaree can't remember her buddies name but she did get to lay with Delaney for rest time, which was a treat for both girls. It sounds like they had a blast for the day but Ellaree did fall asleep on the way home from school. She was wiped out!
While Ellaree was off learning what it was like to be a Kindergartner, Lil Harry was off having his own adventure. He was having his first sleepover at the farm with Papa Harry & Nonie. He did wonderful and had such a blast. But we all were sure missing him. Below is a picture of Harry helping Papa Harry plant beans in their garden.
Little Miss Lorelai got to hang out with Momma. I had some moms over to help sort apparel from our recent sale so we could distribute to students. So she had lots of new friends to play with and then we went to school early and went to all the different classrooms to drop off shirts & hats. Then once that project was done Lorelai got to go outside for recess with Sis. Oh how much fun she had. All the kids were swarming her. Wanting to help her, hold her hand and just be near her. It was quite cute and fun for both girls.
Since Ellaree's class was at school all day on Thursday for Kindergarten Visit. That meant that the PM class would be going on Friday for their visit. Which meant no school on Friday for us! We started off the morning with mommy hoping of sleeping in....that didn't happen! Grama was up and ready to go rummage saling around 8, which we only found 2. That was a poor morning but we came back home and started in on transplanting hostas to our back porch area. It turned out great! At 11 Ellaree's friend Alice came along with her brother Sam & sister Emma. I had six kids to watch this afternoon in ages 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 10 months....wow but was it ever fun. Grama was a big help. Then came Lisa to hang out with us also. All in all we had tons of fun and got lots of transplanting of flowers done also. I think everyone is going to be dropping into bed tonight.
