Christmas Continues-Part 3

December 30th - Harry had his 1 year checkup bright and early in the morning.  The roads were quite wet, icy and very interesting to drive in.  But we made it and got him all taken care.  3 shots and a good bill of health.  Here are his statistics...

Weight ~ 20 lbs 8 oz ~ 17%
Height ~ 2 ft. 6 in. ~ 56%
Head ~ 18 1/4 in. ~ 46%

So he did a great job with his shots and really didn't do a whole lot of crying.

We were planning on having a Christmas visit from Aunt Allison as she was in the Barrington area and was going to drive up for the day.  But again, due to weather she canceled.  I don't blame her one bit.

Ellaree arrived home from her extended Galena visit around 3 in the afternoon wiped out and ready for a nap.  Poor girl will need to sleep in for the rest of her Christmas vacation to catch up on her sleep.

That evening we had a wonderful Christmas Cheer with the Korn's.  Our good friends Bill & Jane and their crew all came over to eat, play and have lots of fun.

December 31st - We finally had a day to stay at home and relax.  The kids needed it after so much hussle and bussle these past two weeks.  They slept in until after 8 which is so not normal for them.  We were invited to many different places to bring in the New Year but due to Harry's last couple of days of full-time work at Kwik Trip we have decided to stay at home and get some much needed rest.  We will miss it but will survive without it.

I was thinking today about how last year on this day we were bringing a blue bundle of joy home from the hospital.  My oh my how much has changed in a year.  Harry and I are very blessed to have such a beautiful family.  Here is to 2011 and looking forward to 2012!  May God Bless You All!
