Sounds like a good time, doesn't it, donuts and slumber party. Well somewhat. Donuts Daddy brought home from Kwik Trip along with muffins after Ellaree asked him about a million times if he could. With having 4 teeth now Lil Harry is sure enjoying his first donut and muffin.
Last night Ellaree and I had a slumber party in the living room on the pull-out couch. Ellaree has started having night-terrors again. Last night was the worst one since she was like 2. I finally got her calmed down and when I tried to transfer her back to her bed she woke and started again. Obviously I did not let her get into a good slumber before trying to move her. Therefore I pulled the couch out and that is where we stayed. If you can't beat it, join it...it is my new saying to help keep me sane. :)
All the kids still have the stuffy noses and coughs but it seems the fevers are done. Although last night was the first night Harry slept through the night in two weeks.
A big CONGRATS to our friends Jenny & Joel to their second baby girl Ruby Delores weighing in at 7 lbs 12 oz and 20.5 inches on Sunday at 1:57 pm. We are so happy all are healthy, happy and home. Big Sister is loving her also.
We had our first overnight guests last week. Aunt Jen was taking a class in LaCrosse so Thursday night her and Maddie spent the night then Friday Maddie stayed with us until her class was done. They had a ton of fun on the slip-n-slide as Maddie was not able to at Ellaree's birthday party due to having a cast. We had a blast and hope they come back again soon.
The kitchen is coming along slow but sure. Monday we got a call that our countertops were in so after naps we loaded the kids up and headed for Menards. So we got on this trip our countertop with an undermount sink that was placed in the factory, can lights, a jumbo mailbox (sounds silly but growing up on the farm we had one and brings back good memories of the farm) and gardening tools. Obviously daddy has high hopes for me to get outside and do some yard work and gardening. He is a funny man! He got the girls each a shovel also.
Monday we also got the swing set partially up. The platform with slide is up but not the swings. We are getting there. But we did get all the toys out and ready to go. Yesterday then we got the sandbox that Ellaree got for her birthday in place and filled. The girls dove right into playing, in more ways then one. And when they came in they needed a bath immediately. Lorelai was covered head to toe and in mouth...gross but what do you do...they had fun!
I believe that is all for now. Come on over when you get a chance and see the improvements as they come along. Give a shout and let us know when you will be on our doorstep. Until next time...
